A template is a document type that creates a copy of itself when you open it.
It's very easy to add new templates to the Notes Writer template chooser.
Just copy any of your PDF, Pencil Note, RTF or Markdown documents into the "Templates" location (see screenshot 1) and it will become automatically a new template you can choose from Templates Chooser in the "+" menu (see screenshot 2).
The template preserves all the original document settings like margin, page size, styles and other formats.
