Please try the following steps:
1) Install the latest app update available on the App Store.
2) You can try to reboot your iPad, it may fix the problem.
3) You can also delete the files on the Trashcan location and Automatic Backups if there are a lot of them.
4) Switch off the automatic backups option in the Settings
5) Check that your iPad has enough free space for apps (use the iOS Settings app)
